Outfit Ideas and some Sample Photos

Remember, this is your special session, so how you and your family choose to dress is entirely up to you! You can go formal or casual (even cozy family pajamas!), and you’re welcome to choose complimentary tones, Christmas colours, or winter neutrals.

I recommend picking one or two main colour tones to start with and avoiding colours that strongly contrast each other.

This year’s sets have a rustic theme featuring fishing and logging cabin vibes, so flannels, plaids, knits, and cozy layers work beautifully. Think earthy tones like deep red, forest green, cream, beige, brown, mustard, or charcoal.

For the cozy living room set, we’ll have a dusty velvet blue couch and walls with a soft blue undertone. Outfits in warm neutrals (ivory, taupe, tan), cool tones (navy, soft grey, denim), or accent shades like burgundy, rust, or muted gold will complement the scene perfectly.

You may bring 1 change of outfit for your family if you prefer (Please do keep in mind that the session will be 20 mins and 30 mins for Santa sessions). In the past, families were able to do a quick change but please do bear in mind that it depends on the cooperation of the kids on how efficient the session will go.)

SHOES/BOOTS: This year, you are more than welcome to keep your shoes/boots on. Please do ensure your shoes/boots are dry and cleaned before getting on the set so that it can last for the entire November season. If they are not clean, please bring wipes to wipe down your shoes before getting on the set. Please be mindful of socks/shoes that you want to be photographed in.
