Outfit Ideas and some Sample Photos
Remember, it is your special session, so how you want you and your family to dress is entirely up to you! You can dress formally, informally (family pajamas), with complimentary colours, Christmas colours, winter colours, etc. I do suggest that the families pick 1 or 2 main colour tones to start off with and do not pick colours that contrast each other.
The polar express night train is an outdoor scene, so anything outdoor dressier dress would look nice. Other accessories such as a nice coat, toque, gloves, boots, etc would work too.
The Santa’s workshop has more of a cabin/wood feel to it. We will be providing work aprons if you would like to use that as a costume.
Our backdrop for the living room and fireside baking kitchen has more of a “traditional” greenish tone to it. So you may want to wear more a beige/off white color for that set or you can try to match it by wearing different shades of green and pops of red.
You may bring 1 change of outfit for your family if you prefer (Please do keep in mind that the session will be 20 mins and 30 mins for Santa sessions). In the past, families were able to do a quick change but please do bear in mind that it depends on the cooperation of the kids on how efficient the session will go.)
SHOES/BOOTS: This year, you are more than welcome to keep your shoes/boots on. Keep in mind that the Santa’s workshop and the baking scene will probably not be a full-body image and we probably won’t be able to see the lower half of your body. Please do ensure your shoes/boots are dry and cleaned before getting on the set so that it can last for the entire November season.

Shoes and Socks:
One thing that some clients in the past have asked is if their shoes would be included in the shoot.
Yes, you will be allowed to wear shoes/boots but please make sure the shoes that you wearing are clean and not wet. If they are not clean, please bring wipes to wipe down your shoes before getting on the set. Please keep in mind that I will be needing to use these sets for the entire November, so please be mindful of keeping it clean for others. I am hoping to use the living room sets for crawling babies as we do have quite a few little ones and we want to make sure the flooring is kept clean. Please be mindful of socks that you want to be photographed in. Keep in mind that the Santa’s workshop and the fireside baking scene will probably not be a full-body image and we probably won’t be able to see the lower half of your body.
**Santa hats can be provided if you wish to wear one
